Back in 2012 I was drawn to Steter because of some compelling posts by Saucery/Saucefactory and had to watch the first season. I just love villainous/morally ambiguous characters. Give me all of the age gaps and manipulation and shady power dynamics.
I got into the Steter Network shortly after Elpie created the community and chatzy in 2014, and after she tapped me to mod, things sort of took off from there. I'm the last original admin of the Network, but I'm always happy to meet new people and see how our little fandom evolves.

I don't remember what got me into Steter - I think I was reading Sterek fics and whenever Stiles and Peter were snarking at each other or friendly I always started to ship them. lol
I can't remember how long I've been in the Network. It was during Chatzy times. Someone anonymously sent an ask on Tumblr inviting me in.
I love Steter fandom with a blistering passion. I wrote a 'why I ship Steter' ship manifesto and it's somewhere on Tumblr, but I'll probably be posting it on AO3 before long since I'm abandoning Tumblr altogether soon.

Introduction
I'm in my 50s (yikes!), married Lesbian lady living in Cali with wife and cats.
I think I started like a lot of TW readers, with Sterek before I even saw the show and then read a Steter and it makes sense to me -- they're both morally gray. And Ian's gorgeous.
Anyway, I guess that's it!
Re: Introduction
How are you liking DW so far?

I don't really remember how I got into Steter. I think a friend was trying to convince me to watch the show, so I looked it up online (aka Tumblr) and stumbled upon the ship. The Steter fandom is also what inspired me to actually post my fics. Everyone is super welcoming, nice, and creative!
(Also- if you were wondering- I only watched one episode of Teen Wolf and just went headcanon crazy after that.)

LOL
Honestly, that's the same story I hear from a lot of people in TW fandom. Which episode did you watch? The first? If that's the only one, then you totally need to put a few others on your watch list—just for the Steter content. Season 1, in particular, had some awesome moments.

I started out reading Sterek fics before accidentally stumbling on Steter, not sure when, just that it was still very much a rarepair back then with less than 200 fics and half of them were Sterek. But once I read a few, I got hooked enough on their banter and capacity for darkness and ability to keep up with each other, just their dynamic overall that it became my OTP.
You can find me here or on AO3, and I have new accounts on Pillowfort (cywscross) and WordPress (cheshiresense.home.blog). I'll also still be on Tumblr because I have too many blogs over there to just delete them all, so unless Tumblr boots me entirely, you'll still be able to find me on that hellsite.

Yessss. Their banter and capacity for darkness and just, the whole dynamic. It's fantastic.
I too remember when there was a small enough amount of Steter fic that I could stay up to date on all of it. There was a time when I had read everything in the tag, including putting the Russian fics through a translator. Lol.
Speaking of too many tumblr blogs... do you have plans to make a new rss feed somewhere else?

I think topbun started a Steter Fic Feed community on Pillowfort? So they'll prob be running it if/when Pf ever gets around to allowing RSS feeds. For now, I'll just keep running the feed on Tumblr, it's the easiest place for IFTTT to connect AO3 feeds to. If I do find somewhere else to make another Steter feed though, I'll give everyone a heads-up here and prob over at the Steter Network server too.

I'll spread the link around.

I started off with Sterek and found a love for Peter & Stiles being snarky bff's, which developed into a love of them in general. While I ship about every ship under the sun, Steter is by far the pairing I've written the most content for, and there'll always hold a special place in my heart. Around the beginning of 2017, I read through nearly the entire Steter tag on AO3 to get me through a rough time, and just. Damn. So much good fic.
My favourite thing about Steter is the post-season 3b characterization where they're both very damaged and pretty messed up, but they find comfort in one another. I'm all about fluff, and I love that type of hurt/comfort softness <3

I love the fact that so many of us have read the entire Steter tag at some point. Lol. The obsession is just so fitting for Steter. :D
More seriously, I also love that so many of us have found comfort in a pairing that's not the most obviously comforting and that people ship it on their own terms. There really is room for everyone at the Steter table.

I must admit that I fell into the Teen Wolf fandom by accident several years ago, never having watched the show (I've since seen the first episode, and a whole lot of clips and highlights but not watched the whole series). I'd seen the characters come up in a few crossovers and somehow ended up reading Etharei's Hide a Life of War (a Sterek fic) and it intrigued me so much I had to go looking for more. Somewhere along the way, I discovered
